Adding product to your cart
New parents can cloth diaper simply and naturally with our Natural Newborn All in One. You won't have to deal with separate absorbent and waterproof layers - they're all combined in one amazing diaper that can be easily put on in just one step. Even during those late-night, middle-of-the-night, newborn diaper changes, these diapers make for efficient diaper changes -- which means you can get back to sleep faster!
The Natural Newborn All in One includes two hemp and organic cotton soakers that are only attached in the front for quick cleaning and drying. Hemp is known for its excellent absorbency and durability, making it an ideal choice for cloth diapers. Our hemp and organic cotton jersey, is specially knitted just for us. The inner part of the diaper is lined with layers of soft, organic cotton, providing comfort similar to your favorite t-shirt.
Your newborn will look oh-so-stylish in the colorful, playful designs of our waterproof material which is used as the diaper's outer layer.
Sized specifically with the needs and comfort of a new baby in mind, our snap closure option offers an umbilical cord snap-down feature which is handy while your baby’s belly button is healing.
If your baby is predicted to weigh more than 8lbs at birth, newborn diapers aren’t absolutely necessary. However, many families find them quite useful. The Natural Newborn All in Ones are specially sized and designed for the first few weeks. You'll notice that diaper changes are a bit simpler without the extra bulk of a one-size diaper, and they also offer better protection against leaks. Once your baby has outgrown their newborn diapers, we recommend they graduate to any of our One Size diaper options.
The Natural Newborn All in One is offered with either snap closures or hook and loop. Which to choose? If you want quick and easy changes and a more customized fit, go for hook and loop. However, if you prefer a more pliable and comfortable fit for your baby – and you like the idea of snapping down the front of the diaper away from your baby’s umbilical area -- snap closures are the way to go. More families opt for snaps, but ultimately the decision is yours!

Before Using your Diapers:
01. Invest in some cloth diaper safe laundry detergent that won’t leave a residue on the fibers of your diapers. There are many options but a popular choice that you can find locally is Tide Free + Gentle. Search online for Cloth Diaper Detergent Index to find an detergent that works for you.
02. Prep-wash: Wash and dry all of your new Thirsties products with detergent and warm water before use.
Wash Soiled Diapers:
typically every other day
01. Wash on a Quick Wash cycle on warm with detergent to ‘pre-wash’ your Thirsties.
02. Add more detergent and wash with hot water on a Heavy Duty Cycle with an extra rinse. Add washing soda or Calgon if you have very hard water.
03. Hang dry in the sun whenever and wherever possible. Alternatively, dry in dryer on medium-high heat for about 60-75 minutes until fully dry. Add dryer balls for quicker drying.
Yep -- its really that easy! But if you are the type of person who loves some really solid over explaining, you can find our comprehensive care instructions in our Customer Center -> Care and Use.
A note on natural fibers:
Natural fibers tend to clean easier than synthetic materials, but you can expect to see wear on natural diapers earlier than a synthetic fiber diaper. Its impossible to say if/when holes might develop as there are too many variables involved; wash routines, water hardness, machine type, detergent and stash size are all variables that need to be considered. Edge wear holes in the fabric tend to develop in the top layer of natural fiber along the serged edges and leg casings, but in most cases the performance of the diaper is not affected.
