Invest in some cloth diaper safe laundry detergent that won't leave a residue on the fibers of your diapers. A popular choice you can find locally is Tide Free + Gentle.

2

Prep-wash: Wash and dry your natural fiber products once with detergent and warm water before use.

3

Tip: You may wash your natural fiber products with your other white laundry for the prep wash, as long as you use a cloth diaper safe detergent.

A note on natural fibers: Natural fibers tend to clean easier than synthetic materials, but you can expect to see wear on natural diapers earlier than a synthetic fiber diaper. Edge wear holes tend to develop in the top layer of natural fiber along the serged edges and leg casings, but in most cases the performance of the diaper is not affected. Yep, it's really that easy! Loving these! We’ve officially switched all our liners to Thirsties brand. Ordered the cotton doublers to layer over their hemp/cotton liners. Makes for an absorbent diaper that isn't overly bulky.
